Glasgow international Airport is situated 13 kms, on the western side of the city centre if Glasgow. It is nearby to the towns of Paisley and Renfrew in Scotland. In 2007, the Glasgow airport made a record of being the second busiest all over Scotland, by managing more than 8,795,727 boarders. The Glasgow Airport also has made the mark of being the first most airports to conduct over more than one million boarders in July, 2004.

There are plans in the process, for the expansion or the extension of the Airport, with the idea of the passenger numbers hitching up to over 24 million per year, till 2030.BAA owns and operates the Glasgow airport. Along side, the BAA also owns six of the other airports in UK.The Glasgow Airport, being an all-rounder are the nucleus point for Loganair; Flyglobespan and easyjet.The maintenance facilities for British Airways are also taken care of by the Glasgow International Airport.
